Before You Go
Essential information curated for our travelers to ensure a smooth, stress-free journey to the Land of the Eagles.
Entry & Visas
Visa-Free Travel for Many Nations.
Citizens of the United States, EU, and Canada can enter Albania for tourism for up to **90 days or one year without a visa** depending on your passport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry.
Most travelers arrive via Tirana International Airport (TIA). We provide airport transfers as part of our premium packages.
Money & Currency
The Albanian Lek (ALL)
While larger hotels and restaurants in Tirana accept cards and Euros, Albania remains largely a **cash-based economy**, especially in traditional markets and rural areas.
ATMs & Exchange
We recommend carrying some Lek for small purchases. ATMs are widely available in cities. Use 'BKT' or 'Credins' for reliable transactions.
Electricity & Connectivity
Standard European Plugs
Albania uses 230V, 50Hz. You will need a **Type C or F adapter** (two round pins). North American devices (110V) may need a voltage converter if not dual-voltage.
Staying Connected
WiFi is excellent in Tirana and coastal cities. For mobile data, we recommend **eSIMs** (Airalo) or local SIM cards from Vodafone Albania (available at the airport).
